Steven S. Powers and Joshua Lowenfels are leading dealers in American Folk and Outsider Art. They share a gallery on the Lower East Side at 53 Stanton Street, where they exhibit a Venn diagram of Outsider, Self-Taught & Contemporary Works of Art—located on the Lower East Side just three minutes from The New Museum and 70 other galleries.

Steve Powers is the country's top specialist in Woodlands sculpture and the author of two comprehensive books, North American Burl Treen: Colonial & Native American and the Woodlands volume of The Art of the Spirit World. Powers is a long-time board member of the Antiques Dealers' Association of America (ADA), a past president, and currently serves as Vice President.

Johua Lowenfels is a native New Yorker and grew up immersed in the cultural offerings the city had to offer. A graduate of the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Lowenfels, as a lifelong collector, started dealing after college. For the last 30 years, Josh has been exhibiting widely at select antiques and art fairs and is known for his unconventional eye and for recognizing aesthetic value in the oft-overlooked.

Powers & Lowenfels works with individuals and institutions, and has placed several artworks in national and international museums, as well as advanced private collections.
